Make Link Vault Your Home Page
- Open Preferences from the Edit menu
- Click on Navigator
- Make sure Home page is selected below When Navigator starts up, display
- Below Home Page, enter http://www.LinkVault.org/ in the Location box.
- Click the Ok button to save and exit the preferences
Add Link Vault to Internet Search
You can add Link Vault to the list of search engines in Mozilla's Internet Search function, found in the sidebar.

After adding Link Vault to Mozilla's Internet Search, you must go into the preferences and set it as the default search engine.
- Open Preferences from the Edit menu
- Open the Navigator section and select Internet Search
- Choose Link Vault in the Default Search Engine list.
- Click the Ok button to save and exit the preferences
Now, you can search the web by typing a query into the address field and clicking the Search button.
NOTE: This feature may not work with Mozilla on Linux. The workaround is to make /usr/lib/mozilla/searchplugins (or /usr/search/mozilla-[version]/searchplugins) writeable by everyone or make it owned by the user running the browser.

This will give you a separate Link Vault panel in the sidebar, giving you easy access to web, news and image results.

The panel will be available in the sidebar right away. (You might have to open the sidebar by pressing F9.)

By adding this "magic" bookmark to your bookmarks list or Personal Toolbar, you can search Link Vault with a single click.
- Make sure your Personal Toolbar is being displayed by checking Personal Toolbar under Show/Hide in the View menu.
- Place your mouse pointer over the "Search Link Vault" link below, hold down the left mouse button and drag the link to your Personal Toolbar.
- To rename the button, click on it with the right mouse button and select Properties and enter a new name in the Name box.

By adding this "magic" bookmark to your bookmarks list or Personal Toolbar, you can find a variety of information from Link Vault for any page you visit with a single click.
- Make sure your Personal Toolbar is being displayed by checking Personal Toolbar under Show/Hide in the View menu.
- Place your mouse pointer over the "Link Vault Page Info" link below, hold down the left mouse button and drag the link to your Personal Toolbar.
- To rename the button, click on it with the right mouse button and select Properties and enter a new name in the Name box.
